I moved to Bay Ridge Brooklyn on 9/1/91 to a top floor apartment overlooking the Verrazano Bridge and extending all the way around to Manhattan. Each day brings a new adventure as I watch the ships that sail under the bridge - airplanes fly over - and the breathtaking sunsets that fill the sky on clear nights. City lights may block the stars but the sunsets are spectacular.

The color purple was created by dust particles wafting here to NYC from the Sahara Desert
I have visited many places with water views in my lifetime,
but nothing beats this view from home especially when the ships sail under the bridge.

A few years ago a bolt of lightning struck the lightning rod next to me in this pic. It's near my bathroom skylight ... and I was in the shower at the time. It took out both elevators but luckily no one was hurt. This pic also speaks to me of a close encounter of the third kind. [Ellie sending a signal ... ]

As the sun set I took a video of the Venus-Moon Conjunction approaching the arches of the Verrazzano Bridge.
Another brilliant sunset called to me as I worked at my computer. I sent the pic to my daughter, Nikki, in Westport, CT who was walking her dog along the beach at the time and enjoying the same splendid view. We are all connected.
