The Smithsonian Institution has repeatedly confirmed it has absolutely no records of a "G.E. Kincaid" or a "Professor Jordan" ever existing or working for them.

No actual artifacts, photographs, or cave entrances matching this description have ever been found by modern geological surveys or hikers.

The reason the Grand Canyon feels so connected to these cultures is due to a geologist named Clarence Dutton. In the late 19th century, Dutton mapped the canyon and, inspired by its majestic and sacred appearance, intentionally named many of the natural rock formations after Eastern and Egyptian frameworks - giving us modern landmarks like the Isis Temple, the Tower of Set, and the Zoroaster Temple.

The artifacts themselves aren't real, but the story has remained a deeply compelling modern myth for over a century.
