Sunday August 3, 2025 was a welcomed reprieve from the summer's relentless heat and humidity and a realization that climate change hasn't as yet totally encapsulated the human experience in time.
I took advantage of the moment to stroll along the promenade outside my home in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn enjoying the cool breezy afternoon. Humans have always been guided to live near bodies of water - large and small - having a soothing effect akin to that of meditation - bringing a sense of peace and tranquility. It connects humanity to the flow of the collective unconsciousness - stirring the soul and perhaps revealing truths they have yet to fully remember.
In the bipolar nature of the Human Experiment - people are often drawn to live near the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans for reason they either understand or something subconscious that guides their journeys home.
