My son Rob left Staten Island for Florida to spend 100 days in rehab for an addiction to weed used to self medicate depression. In the past Rob he has helped others and saved many friends from a life of addiction and mental illness. Now it was his turn to heal. I feel so heartbroken that his life has been so hard. He didn't deserve such a rough road, but as you blog, that is his programming, which we hope has changed. Rob emailed me a photo ever night after he worked out. He took this photo on the 100th day and wondered if this was a message from a spirit guide helping him.

It's nice to think that this is spirit, and metaphorically you can read any message into any photo as it's all subjective. The message to me is about the brain and consciousness, that he is protected, and though he will struggle with depression and may revert to old patterns, he can overcome them with help. It's not easy.

I sent the photo to professional photography friends - Bruce and Darren. They both had the same response. The light is a flare across a camera lens. iPhones can create this effect.
