Though I live in the pulse of 9/11- I am also a grandma and planning to spend time with two of my 6 grandchildren today. I want to wish all of the grandparents everywhere a happy day.
It is true what they say ... "It's much easier to be a grandparent than a parent," at least for me. You spend time with the grandchildren, lots of hugs and kisses, spoil them, play, observe their innocence and desire to learn ... then you go home.
I know that some grandparents raise their grandchildren for one reason or another, but it isn't easier as you get older.
Many clients come here and speak about the grandparent who raise them when their parents were not available.
It is often a deceased grandparent who comes to a reading, bringing love and encouragement to a client lost and in distress.

I was a full time mom for 17 years and embraced the experience on all levels. True it is easier when you have a great husband who is present to share, not to mention good family and friends, and finances are in order. I just realized something as I wrote the last sentence ... my experience with mothering does sound like something I manifested it into the physical ... doesn't it?! Well you know I hate drama. But that was another chapter in my life, among many. To grow, you need to experience and look back saying ... "I did the best I could." Again ... have a happy day if you celebrate being a grandparent.
So here we are on the sixth anniversary of 9/11 remembering those who came before us and set the course of our destinies.
