March has a way of delivering serious weather whiplash to many areas across the country - with NYC no exception this year. In the blink of an eye we went from freezing winter to 80° today - and back to snow. US weather went nuts with blizzard, polar vortex, heat dome, atmospheric river all at once

Today was the perfect day to be outdoors ... where I met a friend for lunch at Sheepshead Bay - then walked along the waterway reminiscing about the years we grew up in Manhattan Beach - the area seen just across the water in this pic.

When you're in your 80s, there's a lifetime of things to talk about - from personal happenings to the world stage. Politics? I have no friends - young or old - who approve of the current administration and what's going as the simulation moves to closure. Yes ... my friends now understand the elements that create closure - not just for us as super-agers - but for everything.

We agree that chaos abounds in this latest chapter of reality - and it's best to focus on the positive things in our lives. Luckily for us there are many Nachas - the Yiddish word for things that bring pride, joy, deep satisfaction, and appreciation.
