In 1994, crop circles continued to be a phenomenon, with many attributing them to human hoaxes, while others maintained a belief in extraterrestrial or supernatural origins. Specifically, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley, who had previously admitted to starting the crop circle craze in 1976, were associated with the creation of fake crop circles in that year, according to Memory Lane Prints. Their demonstrations showed how simple tools like ropes and boards could be used to create intricate patterns. Despite these revelations, some continued to believe the circles were evidence of alien communication or other paranormal activity
The season was renowned for formations such as the Spiders Web at Avebury, the Scorpion at Bishops Cannings, The Galaxy at West Stowel and the Great Eye in East Field, near Alton Barnes.
