Over the past three months I've watched workers making renovations to the park outside - finally completing the project today. While exploring the changes with my neighbor Lucy - she took this pic of me near the obelisk which now features triangles beside each of the four sides of the base - forming a square depending on how you perceive it.
Reality has always been intertwined with symbolism, geometry, and the interplay of elements on physical and subliminal levels.
There seems to be a method to the new design going back to the Masonic Program and the Founding Fathers. George Washington passed through this area during the American Revolutionary. Fort Hamilton is at the far end of the park. Combine that with the energies associated with the Verrazano Bridge and you discover a merging of past, presence and future - highlighting the manner in which physical spaces can embody historical narratives and collective memories.
As we approach July 4, 2026 - which will mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence - it is indeed a pivotal moment for reflection on the ideals of democracy that the Founding Fathers championed.
The phrase "Democracy Lost" suggests a concern that the core principles of the democracy they designed - liberty, equality, and justice - are at risk or in decline with the current administration. But as you know - it's all part of the Master Plan now coming to fruition.
