Reruns of 'Stargate SG-1' Are Coming to Netflix Starting February 15, 2026. All 10 seasons will be moving through the Stargate with - Daniel, Jack, Sam, Teal'c (an alien) and the rest of the crew.
My favorite episode was Window of Opportunity (Season 4, Episode 6) - about reality trapped in a time loop recognized only by Jack and Teal'c who relive the same day over and over and over with frustration and fun. Watch on YouTube
The main Stargate SG-1 episode dealing with simulation theory is The Gamekeeper (Season 2, Episode 4), where SG-1 finds a planet where people are trapped in a blissful virtual reality controlled by a powerful AI called The Keeper, forcing them to relive idealized moments, raising questions about free will vs. happiness in a simulated world, a concept ahead of its time, similar to The Matrix.
Two other relevant episodes are Avatar (Season 8, Episode 2), which features a VR training chair that learns from the user, and Ripple Effect (Season 9, Episode 13) with parallel universes/clones creating a reality-bending feel.

Simulation Theory and Time Loops are becoming part of mainstream thinking with various interpretations as we move toward closure. It explains so much ... from climate to human behavior to creation and more. I used to wonder why humans are programmed with less logic and more emotions. Answer: That's the experiment we are experiencing - "The Human Experiment in the Alchemy of Time and Emotions". Is the final step - as in the goal of - "The Great Flood" - Spielberg's Taken - and the Gray Alien Experiments on Humans - to produce the next level in evolution - a combination of intellect and emotion - or does our simulation end and all is deleted? "Computer End Simulation"
