December 1, 2023 - Social media has taught us a lot about the positives and negatives of the judicial system often focusing on high-profile cases or people we feel are falsely accused. Currently people are taking a long hard look at the Supreme Court as it functions (or not) especially on the matter of Roe v. Wade. America's judicial system is showing its pitfalls alongside the legislative and executive branches. Many people have become critics while others just hope for the best. Which one are you?
Sandra Day O'Connor (March 26, 1930 - December 1, 2023) was the first woman to serve as a U.S. Supreme Court justice. O'Connor, 93, died due to complications related to advanced dementia. O'Connor inspired generations of female lawyers - including the five women who served after her nomination on the high court. They admired her path marking success in a field that had been dominated by men. Over time, she became known as a moderate conservative and often the swing vote on hot-button social issues.
