CNN: Rosalynn Carter, mental health activist, humanitarian and former first lady, dies at 96

Rosalyn was Jimmy Carter's partner, best friend, and closest advisor in and out of the White House for more than 3/4 of a century. Soft spoken, politically savvy, and fiercely determined, Rosalynn Carter was known as the Steel Magnolia making the role of First Lady her own. She loved politics and supported her husband's ambitions all the way up until the end.

On February 18, 2023, the Carter Center announced that following a series of short hospital stays, Carter decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family in Plains to receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention. Carter asked President Biden to deliver his eulogy following his death.

What many of us remember about Jimmy Carter is ... he filed a report with both the International UFO Bureau and the National Investigations Committee On Aerial Phenomena, stating that he sighted an unidentified flying object in October 1969.
