Balls of light have been seen and recorded above nuclear reactors, war zones, and natural disasters. If they are monitored and activated by extraterrestrials there are only two options. They are creating disasters, or they are preventing them from become worse to save humanity so the simulated reality in which we exist ends properly and we don't have reboot and do it all over again.
