I took this pic from my terrace of orange haze caused by Canadian wildfires enveloping the setting sun.
Z cautioned not to look directly at the sun - only through the lens of the camera.
As I walked back inside - I thought about the latest air quality alerts - especially in NY - for those with respiratory issues.
Though I have none - in that moment I realized that the smoke from wildfires affects everyone. I often equate it to volcanic ash - both of which are toxic and block the sun. A parade of volcanoes is erupting on Russia's far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula following an 8.8 earthquake last week.
