Since Election Day I've read government employees who are retiring early based on the future of government jobs during the next Trump administration. Some are staying where they live while others are moving to other states and countries.
Major change is never easy but neither is life on planet Earth - now in its final chapter.
My thoughts on moving turn to Barbra Streisand's conversation with Stephen Colbert where Barbra told him she couldn't live in the US if Trump was reelected. Barbra is a Brooklyn girl like myself who went to a neighboring high school at the same time.
Could people who have lived in California for decades move to another state or country with a seasonal climate? California climate is not what it used to be and there's no going back. I can only assume that most people who said they would pack up and leave are staying put and waiting to see what happens in 2025.
When you think about 2025 - what emotions does that elicit in you? I feel the same as I did when Trump was re-elected - surreal with no emotional attachment.
