It's becoming the norm on holiday weekends to - travel during specific hours, use GPS, always check the weather, then hope for the best. Traveling is challenging, no matter how you do it.

This year, Memorial Day celebrations have been sidelined by tornadoes and related events for millions of people across the country - some considering themselves lucky to be alive. Destruction and recovery.

It's time to take a break from the bombardment of political events and chaos in the news - to rest your brain and emotions. Take-away from the 2020 election: Though an election is over - its aftermath ripples on and on and on - the algorithm forever creating dramas for those programmed to that end or - to the end of time.

Feeling alone and /or lonely during the holidays has always been part of the equation. Hopefully this year everybody reading this is safe and will have fun no matter what their plans.

Over the past 29 years, I've written many blogs about loneliness and friendships - two concepts that change with - age, health, logistics, and other factors people face through life.

If I go back to my school years - those friendships still exist. If I look at my metaphysical journey - most of those friendships connect with a specific agenda then move on. Consider ... If those people and I had not been in the same grid of experience - we never would've become friends - or probably not have been programmed to connect at all.

The NY Times posted this article Thursday: The Loneliness Curve which basically talks about communication and socialization in today's world as feelings of isolation are increasing exponentially especially for young adults and seniors over 75. Wait! That's me!! Never felt lonely a day in my life.

The struggle for meaningful relationships involves a lifetime of emotions evolving over the decades and influenced by external factors, such as social media, logistics, health, war, climate, and you know the rest. You have to just 'roll with it' as life is about learning lessons - but you were already know that too. Have we all become 'shrinks'? Appears so.

Social relationships are becoming more and more superficial with less verbal communication as texting takes center stage to express one's feelings with an emoji. It probably gets the point across but where is the extended explanation for that image?

Lonely and Loneliness - They can both send an already emotionally unstable person into a tailspin and perhaps self-destructive behavior. Yup! Happens all the time.

Enough about the imbalances in the simulation. You know I'm not plugged into the 'healing and energy' grid that creates storylines for most people. Let's leave it there ... Carpe diem!
