Recently I was drawn to my blog about adventures with friends the day Flight 1549 crashed in the Hudson River on January 15, 2009 - not far from where I live in Brooklyn. The film about this tragedy and heroic rescues was called "Miracle on The Hudson". In my adventures with friends that day a bird crashed into my living room window creating an image of Jesus around the time of the bird strikes on Flight 1549.

Last night I dreamed about the sci-fi TV series Manifest about a flight returning to JFK that disappears for five years but manifests at the end. Having some free time on this rainy cold afternoon I decided to watch some of my favorite scenes on Netflix. A main character wearing a Zoroaster (Zarathustra, Z) amulet is saved at the end as is his friend who he gives the amulet to.

Suddenly I felt a need to watch the news as I knew something important and connected had happened. I turned on Spectrum news (NY1) my favorite news channel to this story in progress ...

This has been a year of ongoing aviation tragedies. I have no plans to fly anywhere as air travel - which I love - has become too challenging due to weather, human behavior, and delays for various reasons. If there is a message for me it could be that I am protected.
