Many of the waterways around New York City have been closed for days due to ice. I have never seen so many consecutive days of temps below freezing.

Though I thought we were headed for a 'flood story ending' - this is starting to look more like an ice age. I hope you are staying warm and safe. Remember ... never ever underestimate climate change.


A ship represents a life path. At times we become stuck, but with perseverance and determination, one can turn the ship in the right direction and steer toward destiny. This is a close-up of the ship stuck on ice trying to turn itself around to head out to sea under the bridge. As I'm typing this ... it's turned another 45 degrees. I have faith it will succeed.

Colorful Sunset over the Verrazano Bridge

Tuesday February 10, 2026 - The sun set in an endless kaleidoscope of colors that just kept changing. It all started with this video, which looked like a basic sunset with remnants of the ice storm floating beneath the bridge and waterway that leads to Manhattan or out into the Atlantic Ocean.
