This week Trump diverted attention away from the Trump-Musk feud, tariff chaos, and Trump's Big Beautiful Bill to ... Trump vs Gavin Newsom. Did Trump stage (instigate) the protest in a show of power when he unnecessarily brought in the troops?

It's interesting that Trump called those stirring up the crowds paid protestors, agitators and insurrectionists. But isn't that who he sent to the Capitol on January 6 then waited to send in the National Guard? Quick answer - he does things to suit his personal agendas.

Closer to home - NYC needs Andrew Cuomo back in office - a politician with decades of experience and interaction with Trump. He is the strongest and by far the most experienced candidate to take on Trump. Former NYC mayor Mike Bloomberg - who I was hoping would become President in 2020 - has endorsed Cuomo. Mayor Adams is indebted to Trump and thereby disqualified from playing in the Big Leagues. Let the games commence.

Hopefully it's not in our script for Trump to take the country to a Civil War based on so many issues I don't know where to begin.

History will refer to this time when citizens stood up to Trump's fascist impulses, his rampant corruption, and his violations of the constitution.
