Can You Think For Yourself?

Most people have had their lives dictated to them since childhood. It may have been by one or more authority figures - or just those with good intentions - or at least they thought they knew what was best for you.

Along come others in the workplace, therapists, counselors, life coaches, and the like, who tell you what is right or wrong ... once again taking away your ability to think for yourself. You see these people as part of old age and new age paradigms of helping and healing until one day you stop ... reflect on your life and the huge effort you have put in to healing yourself ... then wonder if any of it has helped you in the long term.

I can't tell you have many clients I read today, who have spent years trying different systems and modalities which have NOT brought the answers and healing they seek. The systems promise good health, wealth, and manifestation. Stop laughing, people buy into this every day.

Does happiness mean finding a job at last ... that you discover you hate? What does anything mean in today's world where everything seems to be falling apart and people speak about end time prophecies. Could they be right? you wonder. Your mind echoes back: "How would you know. You can't think for yourself. You may chuckle at that thought ... or cry.

Seasons come and go ...

as you walk the path of duality wondering what is real and what is not,

often arguing with yourself and generally coming away more confused about who and what to believe.

... Then one day ... after a lifetime of being told what is right and what is wrong ... you realize you can no longer think for yourself with so many outside influences. You decide it is time to go off on your own and clear your head. Generally this involves travel. Native Americans speak of a Vision Question ... Australian Aboriginals call it a Walkabout ... while other cultures have their own ancient traditions that help you think clearly. Whether the answer is to be found or not, you feel an urgency to think for yourself and wait for the Universe (your soul) to attract that which you seek.

Lock of hair pins down early migration of Aborigines   BBC - September 22, 2011
A lock of hair has helped scientists to piece together the genome of Australian Aborigines and rewrite the history of human dispersal around the world. DNA from the hair demonstrates that indigenous Aboriginal Australians were the first to separate from other modern humans, around 70,000 years ago. This challenges current theories of a single phase of dispersal from Africa.

At the end of the day ... of the journey ...

it is all about the flow of the collective unconsciousness

balancing brain chemistry for clarity.
