Free Hug Movement
Last week I wrote about Deeksha. This week I found several You Tube websites about Free Hugs as an Australian teacher set out to spread a little love. Another generation ... another way of making a statement "All you need is love." These are hugs of compassion and can be inspirational, especially to the millions of lonely people out there. Besides, you never know who you will meet. This would make a great independent film - boy meets girl through a hug! Love it. Really having fun searching around You Tube and would like to create something of my own.
As for me, I have never been much of a huggy-type person. Don't readily connect my energy fields with others unless their energies match my own.
To hug a stranger goes to many factors. If a man was holding up a sign asking for a hug, where I live in NYC, I would be cautious. Too much big city conditioning with crazy people, pickpockets and horny men. If a woman held up a sign, most men would go for the hug, and perhaps women as well. I know me ... I would walk away. What would you do?
I understand why people love to hug. Most of my clients like a hug when they leave here - our session having helped heal them on many levels and opened up new avenues of thought. It's kind of a completion or closure to the session - a hug being full circle.
Hugs are not much different than Reiki or any other contact healing technique. It's all the same. It's all energy. Healing is energy. Healing is frequency. The nature of the harmonic is to create balance and raise frequency. Energy exchanges create an electromagnetic flow that can temporarily heal or at least bring someone into greater understanding about getting help. Without healing the emotional body though, all will revert back, or find another outlet of expression in physical reality.
If hugs could create permanent healing, that would be wonderful. One must look at the way those who preach about the power of a hug, live their lives when they return to their normal environment. It's not unlike the many healers and spiritual counselors I've met - no different than preachers - who say one thing then live their lives with abuses of one kind or another.
It all comes down to this ... spiritually it's about how you live your life reflected in your ability to manifest from a balanced place in a positive way. Look at what's manifesting into your life now. Wonder what it's all about ... Adjust ... Manifestation shows who you are ... where you're at ... and takes us to ...
